Use interlibrary loan to request the following types of items:
- Loans of books
- Copies of journal and newspaper articles
- Copies of book chapters
- Loans of dissertations/theses
- Loans of older journal volumes
Items which CANNOT ordinarily be obtained:
- Entire volumes of recent periodicals
- Reference and reserve books
- Very old or rare books
- Computer software
- Multimedia formats
- Manuscripts
- Theses & dissertations from some universities
ILL cannot substitute required textbook purchases for classes.
Requesting items from other Penn State campuses:
- Locate an item in the University Libraries catalog or in LionSearch
- Click on the "I Want It" button
- Select "Penn State Hershey (College of Medicine)" as the pickup location
Non-circulating items and articles from other Penn State campus libraries can be requested through ILLiad.
