Access Resources

To access the library resources from off-campus, go directly to the library website homepage.

For remote access, YOU MUST REGISTER A PERSONAL ACCOUNT ON- NETWORK (i.e. wired computer on campus, VPN, remote desktop, secure wifi). After this, you can access UptoDate remotely by logging into your personal account. Any questions or issues with access should be directed to Penn State Health Information Services: 833-577-HELP (4357).

To reduce multiple logins and errors, you can create profiles in Microsoft Edge for your Penn State University ID and password and Penn State Health ID and password.

Create Profiles:

  • Creating profiles allows you to have one browser window where you can log into Penn State University resources, and one browser where you can log into Penn State Health resources. This reduces the number of error messages you will receive because of the two logins.
  • You must be on the Penn State Health network (on-campus or via VPN) to create and use an associated Microsoft Edge profile.
  • Your Penn State University profile will automatically log you in to library resources that require the Penn State University login.
