The Harrell Health Sciences Library: Research and Learning Commons features a wealth of technologies and spaces to support new teaching skills; encourage experimentation, and serve as a catalyst for innovation. 

 

Library Spaces

All workstations are free to use to all Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center Faculty, Staff, and students.

Experimental Classroom

The Experimental Classroom provides all Faculty and Staff with a cutting edge space which includes virtual reality, Zoom room capabilities, and active learning opportunities.

It's free to use on a first-come, first-serve basis. Students may use the classroom for small group study whenever the room is not reserved.

Group Study Rooms

The Group Study Rooms provide all students with a dedicated space to study and collaborate. There are 13 group study rooms in the library. C1620A to C1620J (9 rooms) are equipped with a PC.

OBS

One Button Studio

The One Button Studio (OBS) features a simplified video and audio recording setup that allows all faculty, staff, and students to create high-quality projects with the push of a button.

3D printers in Technology sandbox

Technology Sandbox

The Technology Innovation Sandbox provides all students, faculty, and staff with a dedicated space for discovery, experimentation, creation, and collaboration.

Quiet Study Lounge

The newly renovated quiet study lounge provides a quiet study space for students, staff, and faculty of the Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. It's free to use on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are lockers available for short term storage of materials in this space.
