In 2011 the Harrell Health Sciences Library established a new annual program, the Harrell HSL READ Poster Recognition Award. This award recognizes individuals from Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center community who are strong library supporters and have assisted in advancing the mission of the Harrell Health Sciences Library: Research and Learning Commons. A committee of faculty and staff, both from within and outside the library, is responsible for administering this program. We are very excited to continue this program for this year's award cycle.
Each selected honoree will be photographed with a book of their choice to create a READ Poster and will provide a statement about the book and why their experience with the library has been meaningful. The posters will be presented to the honorees and will also be featured on the library website.
